Guaranteed Tee Times on the Old Course St Andrews sell out almost a year in advance. This means early planning is essential if a guaranteed tee time is a pre requisite for your trip. However despite its overwhelming popularity the Old Course still upholds the tradition of the ballot (lottery) drawn 2 days ahead of play (except for Sundays and Tournament Days when the course is closed). This gives Golfers the opportunity to enter the Ballot and possibly play The Old Course during their visit to Scotland.
