The newest addition to Ireland’s links courses. The course is located between Lahinch and Ballybunion on the west coast. Originally identified in 1890 by the Black Watch Regiment as the preferred site for their course, it was overlooked in favour of Lahinch due to superior railroad access. Designed by Greg Norman, the site is located on a long stretch of crescent shaped beach and dunes, with the Atlantic Ocean visible from most of the course. An immense links course with real character. More recently Dr Martin Hawtree redesigned Trump Doonbeg, adding definition and length.
